The whitening gel is placed into a rigid plastic bleaching tray that is in turn slipped over the user’s teeth and worn for some hours per day or even overnight for whitening teeth. Other commercially available teeth whitening treatments include the Opalescence tooth whitening system employs a hydrogen peroxide-based bleaching gel. This whitener comes prepackaged as two individual components that are mixed at the time of application and left overnight.
